The Prior Configurator is designed to help you choose the correct part numbers for your Microscope.
Select Your Microscope:
Use the links in the page or the contents section to locate the microscope you are configuring.
Select Your Equipment:
There are five sections to the configurator.
The first four are optional and you should scroll down the page or use the links to select equipment you require from these sections.
Once you have selected your equipment, if it is motorised it will require a Controller choose this from the last section.
NanoScanZ, Incubators and Laser focus are supplied with there own controllers, and do not require a controller.
Please note there may be more than one table, highlighted in green, which show the options for stages; each table is for a stage range. Each range of stages has options which are displayed in the table. Choose the part number in the first column and note this down.
You also need to decide your Sample holder from this table, you can select more than one. If the holder you require is not in the list please contact Prior as Prior do manufacture custom sample holders.
The automated focus is usually a focus motor and adaptor, you should note down both the Part Numbers of the motor and adaptor. In some cases the adaptor in built into the focus kit, in this case no adaptor is displayed.
Encoders linear and rotary are available and will be displayed in the table if available for the microscope.
When selecting a filter wheel and or shutter you should select your filter wheel type and shutter type and then add the required adaptor. Only one adaptor per position (emission, excitation) is required.
The blue table shows you which filter wheels and shutters are best suited to your microscope and the adaptor required to fit them onto the microscope.
The Lumen 200 Light source is a fairly simple choice between automated and manual, the part number ensures it will fit the microscope you are configuring. Remember if you order the Lumen 200Pro you will need a controller capable of controlling two filter wheels.
When configuring your controller, note down all the axis you need to drive, e.g., XY for the stage Z for focus and F1, F2 for Lumen Pro. Then use the matrix provided to select your controller, in most cases the model number will contain the axis names:
E.g., H30XYZ2 controls X Y Stage, Z focus, and 2 filter wheels, and three shutters.
