• The ProScan™III is modular and can be expanded to accommodate the drives required.
The basic model can control:
• 1 ProScan™ Stage and Focus
• 4 TTL input and outputs
• Supports the Interactive Control Centre
• 2 x RS232 Ports.
The expansion module can contain:
• 3 Filter Wheels, (inclusive of auxiliary axis)
• 3 Shutters

• Modular, expand the ProScan™III controller to incorporate the axis you need.
• USB connection inclusive of HID interface for direct connection from PC or Mac.
• Up to 15 axes control
• Smaller, space saving cubic design with dimensions of 177mm x 177mm x 177mm.
• Upgraded drive circuitry to provide substantially quicker, smoother & quieter motion.
• Compatible with the Interactive Control Centre.
• Drive stages at up to 300mms-1, up to 70 revolution per second of the motor.

The basic controller is a cube which can be expanded with additional functionality either vertically or horizontally.
E.g., A cube with stage and focus control, can but upgraded to also control 3 filter wheels and 3 shutters.
A cube can hold either the stage and focus functionality or the 3 filter wheel 3 shutter functionality.

The Interactive Control Center or (ICC) is capable of so much more than the old microscope joysticks providing centralised manual control of all equipment. The screen provides positional feedback while the joystick, button and digipots control accessories such as: a stage, focus, filter wheels, and shutters.New features in the center allow the user to measure distances, label filter wheel positions with dye names (e.g., DAPI, FITC, etc..) and take fine control of the stage for intricate movements. Giving the user instant feedback as to what fluorophor the system is setup for and where the area’s of interest are located on the stage. It also allows basic diagnostic of encoders, TTL and internal ProScanTM III settings, such as axis movement speed.

 

The ProScan™III is ideally suited for the most demanding imaging applications where high precision and accuracy are essential. Ideal uses include; image tiling, time lapse studies, industrial and semiconductor inspection and high throughput screening. The ProScan™III controller represents the latest in stepper motor control technology and provides a wide range of advanced features designed for the most demanding applications and a comprehensive high level software command set including DLL's. A fourth axis driver is available to control sample rotation or an additional custom application. The unit also offers four programmable TTL inputs and outputs for triggering camera shutters, relays, linescan cameras or other peripheral devices. System control using high-level software commands is available via the new USB interface or either of two available serial ports. The ProScan™III controller is compatible with most third party imaging software products and is easily integrated with existing systems. ProScan™III incorporates our patented IST, Intelligent Scanning Technology which enhances the performance of the ProScan™ range of stages.
